Pentadeca Arginate (PDA)
Also called PDA, pentadecapeptide arginate, PDA peptide
Pentadeca arginate, or PDA, is a product sold mainly by wellness clinics and compounders as an alternative to BPC-157. It is said to be the same 15-amino-acid BPC-157 chain made as an arginine salt, a form described in a patent but not tested in published studies. No peer-reviewed studies of PDA itself were found, so claims about it rest on BPC-157 animal research and marketing.
Overview
Pentadeca arginate, or PDA, is a product sold mainly by wellness clinics and compounders as an alternative to BPC-157. It is said to be the same 15-amino-acid BPC-157 chain made as an arginine salt, a form described in a patent but not tested in published studies. No peer-reviewed studies of PDA itself were found, so claims about it rest on BPC-157 animal research and marketing.
How it works
Unknown. If PDA is BPC-157 in a different salt form, its proposed actions would be the same as BPC-157's (animal-study evidence on blood-vessel growth and tissue repair). No published research confirms what PDA products contain or how they act.
What research shows
- No peer-reviewed human, animal or cell studies of pentadeca arginate were identified 5.
- Claims of better stability or absorption than BPC-157 have not been published in peer-reviewed literature.
- Any evidence cited for PDA is borrowed from BPC-157 research, which itself is mostly rodent studies (see BPC-157 profile).
Doses studied in people
No published human (or animal) dosing data exist for PDA; any doses circulating online are unsupported.
Read this first: these are the amounts given to participants in published studies or written on official prescribing labels, reported for reference. They are not recommendations. Trial doses were chosen for specific patients under medical supervision, and a dose that is safe in one person can be harmful in another.
Vial math
Many research vials hold 5 or 10 mg of powder. This table shows how much ends up in each mark on a U-100 insulin syringe for common amounts of added liquid. It is arithmetic only, not a dose.

Safety
- Safety is entirely unknown; no toxicology or human data have been published 5.
- Its chemical identity is not independently verified, so products may vary in content and purity.
- Any risks of BPC-157 (unknown long-term effects, theoretical tumor-promotion concern) would likely apply if PDA is the same peptide.

Legal status
- FDA
- Not FDA-approved.
- Compounding
- Not listed by name in any FDA 503A category (list dated May 14, 2026) and not on the 503A bulks list 12. Because it reportedly contains the BPC-157 peptide, its compounding status is unclear; no wellness peptide had been added to the bulks list as of October 2026 4.
- Sports (WADA)
- Not named on the 2026 list, but it would likely fall under S0 (non-approved substances), which names BPC-157 as an example 3.
- Other
- Status in other countries not documented.
Rules change often. See Legal status of peptides for how these categories work.
History
PDA appeared on the US wellness market around 2024, widely promoted as a substitute after FDA placed BPC-157 in 503A Category 2 in 2023. The name "pentadeca arginate" does not appear in FDA's 503A nomination category lists 12, and no peer-reviewed papers on it were identified 5. Arginine salts of BPC-157 were described earlier in a patent filed by Croatian inventors as a more stable form 6.
Common questions
What is pentadeca arginate?
Is there any research on PDA?
Is PDA legal to compound?
Is PDA safe?
Its safety is entirely unknown, since no toxicology or human data have been published 5.
